2025 Shoprite Bursary Programme
2025 Shoprite Bursary Programme will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, books and an allowance for accommodation. The value of the bursary will range between R30 000 and R60 000, dependent on the field of study and the institution.
After graduation, bursary recipients will be required to work for Shoprite. The work back obligation is 1 year of employment for each year of funding received.
2025 Shoprite Bursary Programme is available in the following fields:
- Accounting (CA Stream – SAICA): 10 bursaries
- Biological and Agricultural Sciences: 10 bursaries
- Criminology: 3 bursaries
- Data Science: 10 bursaries
- Food Science: 10 bursaries
- Information Technology/Systems: 10 bursaries
- Retail Business Management: 60 bursaries
- Supply Chain & Logistics: 10 bursaries

Eligibility Criteria:
General Criteria for All Bursaries:
- South African citizen
- Under 27 years old
- Completed Matric
- Studying at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
