Local cricketing talent, Thato Mokoakoe, has made his hometown of Sasolburg proud by becoming the leading wicket-taker in the recent FPL U17 Div 1 League. This young right-arm medium bowler, who plays for both HTS Sasolburg and Tigers U17 Div 1, showcased exceptional skills throughout the tournament. The tournament was held in Bloemfontein at Grey College Bloemfontein and St. Andrews College.

Thato, one of just two players from Fezile Dabi competing in the league, the other player being Meyer Pretorius from Sasolburg High, played a pivotal role in guiding his team, the Tigers, to the final. He took 3 wickets for 21 runs in his 4 overs to the finals and 2 wickets in the final match.
